LEVEL: Intermediate

MAIN TOOLS: Path Drawing Tool, Easy Palette (for presets) Transform Tool (for sizing and rotation)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Open new white canvas 400x400.

2. Outline Drawing Tool - 3dmode - shape elipse - width 3- depth 30- any color, draw a shape approx 200x240- Go to you Material Attribute Gallery-Metallic-Use copper 4 or any other of your choice. Right click and convert object type/from text/path to image. Go to your Object Paint Eraser and erase bottom straight line, then erase extra, as shown.

3. Duplicate this shape then use transform tool, distort, to distort the ends to match up with the first ends. See pic. Right click, merge these two as single object.

4. Duplicate this merged shape and bring out and again use your transform tool, distort to match up ends. We will erase any extra that sticks out by using the eraser tool now. Right click, arrange, send to back.

5. Duplicate this shape one more time and pull out further and again use your transform tool, distort to bring in ends and erase any unwanted protrusions. Right click, arrange, send to back. Now right click, select all objects, merge as single object. This is what you should see now.

6. Path Drawing Tool - circle - 3d - border - 8 same gold preset as used throughout - draw a shape approx 15x55. Place at top of orb and right click, duplicate and place at bottom of orb. Right click, select all objects, right click, merge as single object.

7. Path Drawing Tool - circl - 3d - border 8 - same gold preset, draw as many circles as you want to place all over the orb. When satisifed, right click, select all objects, right click, merge as single object.

8. Line & Arrow Tool -spline - (3d, copper 4 preset-border 2) draw a squiggly line top ball. Right click, arrange, send to back. Now use your outline drawing tool, shape - 5 point star, and draw a star approx 50x50, border 2. Attach to bottom of string. Duplicate this star, transform tool, rotate 20 to 30 degrees, depending on what you like and bring down below first star. Right click, select all objects, right click, merge as single object.

9. Base - Path Drawing Tool - 3d, same copper present, custom shape - I chose B41, use whatever you like, and draw out a shape approx 275x25, depending upon what shape you choose. Right click, arrange, send to back. Right click, select all objects, right click, merge as single object.

   
   
   There you go!! That wasn't too bad was it? I have this design in my house, and I always loved it, not too good with doing the shape, but I tried! LOL
